🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Build The Frame

  •  Cut your wood into four 47” side pieces and four 24” end pieces.
  • Sand all the edges and corners for a smooth finish.
  • Drill pilot holes into the end pieces, then attach them to the sides with wood screws to form a rectangular frame.

2. Add Backing Fabric

  • Cut the backing fabric slightly larger than the frame.
  • Lay it flat and staple it to the back side of the frame. Do the ends first, then start from the center of side on each edge and work outward.

3. Cut The Insulation

  • Cut one insulation batt in half lengthwise (7.625” x 47”).
  • Place the insulation into the frame with the full-size and half-size pieces stacked side-by-side.

4. Wrap With Acoustic Fabric

  • Lay your SoundAssured acoustical fabric (59x36”) on a clean surface.
  • Flip the frame (stuffed with insulation) onto the fabric.
  • Pull tightly and staple to the back. Do the ends first, then start from the center of side on each edge and work outward.

5. Mounting the Bass Trap

  • Use L-brackets to mount the traps in your corners.
  • Mark where the brackets will go and install drywall anchors if needed.
  • Attach the trap to the brackets with screws.
  • Use a level to check alignment and tighten everything down.
